2-days trip to Zagoura

Morning: Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech. Climb the winding roads of the High Atlas Mountains, stopping for panoramic photos and fresh mountain air at the Tizi n'Tichka pass summit (2,260m).

Midday: Arrive at the famous Kasbah Aït Benhaddou, a majestic, centuries-old fortified clay village. Take a walking tour through its historic lanes—famous as a filming location for Gladiator —followed by a traditional Moroccan lunch overlooking the valley.

Afternoon: Continue south across the rugged Anti-Atlas mountain range and descend into the breathtaking Draa Valley. Wind along a green ribbon of millions of date palms and ancient earthen kasbahs until you reach the desert outpost of Zagora.

Evening: Meet your camel caravan at the edge of the desert. Mount your camel and trek across the rocky plains as the sky turns brilliant shades of orange and pink. Arrive at your Berber camp, enjoy a warm welcome with fresh mint tea, savor a hearty traditional dinner, and listen to live nomadic drumming around the campfire under the stars.

Morning: Wake up early to catch a peaceful desert sunrise over the flat-topped ridges of the Zagora horizon. Enjoy a delicious outdoor breakfast at the camp before riding your camels (or taking a quick 4x4 transfer) back to meet your driver.

Midday: Head back north through the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Africa." Stop here to take photos of the imposing Kasbah Taourirt and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon/Evening: Begin the return ascent back over the High Atlas Mountains, pausing at scenic viewpoints along the mountain passes. Your memorable 2-day desert escape concludes as you arrive back in Marrakech the late evening for a drop-off at your hotel or riad.
